Transportation to MSU from Minneapolis/ St. Paul Airport (MSP)

Mankato is 80 miles (around 128 kilometers) away from St. Paul/ Minneapolis airport (45-60 minuet drive). YOU are responsible for your own transportation. We recommend you take a shuttle (Land-to-Air transport shuttle) instead of a taxi cab (as a taxi is very expensive to take that long of a distance). When you arrive in Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St. Paul), you will need to secure transportation to Mankato. The shuttle service is located in the Lindbergh terminal (Terminal 1)

Land to Air (shuttle service) runs between the MSP Airport and Mankato (their office is located in the MSP Airport). Current times, costs, etc. are on their website. Only cash is accepted; therefore, plan to bring cash (currently $30 for fare for one-person, one-way trip to Mankato). Please inform the driver that you are a new International Student to receive the 10% discount ($27 single person one-way) This shuttle it not available throughout the day. Please check for the shuttle schedule. If you arrive to MSP in late hours, you will have to stay at a local hotel until the next available shuttle.

Please inform your Land to Air Shuttle driver that you are a MSU student. The shuttle driver will drop you off at the Horse Shoe Parking Lot (by the big red waves statue). If you arrive later than 11.30pm and you have not reserved your dorm room, please request the driver to drop you off at the Mankato AmericInn or to the hotel you selected. Please note: Mankato AmericInn is the closet hotel to MSU, and they offer discounted rates ($60 per night) for MSU International Students.

We recommend that you plan your air travel so that you arrive in Minneapolis/ St. Paul (MSP) between 7:00 a.m. and 8.30pm. (Central Standard time). This will allow you to come to Mankato between 9:00 a.m. and 11.30pm, and will be able to get the shuttle. The last Land to Air shuttle for the day will leave MSP airport at 10pm and will arrive to MSU at 11.30pm.
