Concurrent Enrollment Instructor Application Process

High school instructors that would like to teach concurrent enrollment through Minnesota State Mankato must apply. Our campus is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) which requires instructors to meet minimum qualifications. Instructors can be provisionally approved if they do not meet these qualifications, however, all instructors will be required to meet them by September 1, 2023:

Hold a master's degree in the discipline they wish to teach OR;
Hold a master's degree in a field AND have an additional 18 graduate credits in the discipline

A complete application should include:

Minnesota State Mankato Concurrent Enrollment Application
Graduate and Undergraduate transcripts
Current resume and/or vitae

Your application will be reviewed by the PSEO Office to ensure all required materials have been submitted. If the application is complete it will packaged and sent to the academic department of the course you are applying to teach. The Dean of the College will make a recommendation followed by the Office of the Provost making a final decision.

Application Timelines:

We recommend high schools submit applications for new instructors, at least nine (9) months prior to the start date of the course. This provides adequate time for the application to be reviewed and the faculty partner and instructor to align the course.
