Community Advisors (CAs) are student employees trained to assist residents in both their transition and ongoing success to residence hall and apartment living and college life. CAs are responsible for tasks which include social and educational programming, peer support, and maintaining an environment conducive to community and academic success.
We are no longer accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Community Advisor academic year positions.

Recruitment and Selection Process:
Applications Period: Monday, December 1 - Wednesday, January 28
Two reference forms due: Wednesday, January 28
Information Session and Social: Sunday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Preska 126 (This event is optional.)
Notification of Workshop Assignment via email: Friday, January 30
Notification of Interview Assignment via email: Friday, February 13
Interview: February 16-20 (You will be asigned a time slot on one of the days.)
Notification of Employment Status sent via email: Friday, March 6
Offer Acceptance Deadline: Friday, March 20

Residential Life Community Advisor Application for 2015-2016. (We are no longer accepting applications for the 2015-2016 academic year.)
As part of the application process, two individuals need to submit a reference form on your behalf. The reference form is available online and can be saved to your computer so that you can send it to your references. It is your responsibility to provide a reference form to each of your references. Reference forms are due to Matt Burns, CA Selection Coordinator. References may be emailed to him at email@example.com). The best way to ensure that your references are submitted on time is by asking your references early.
This optional event is a great opportunity to learn more about the Community Advisor position!
This event is for you if you are considering the position, even if you have not yet committed to applying. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of a panel of CAs from each of the five Residence Communities (Crawford, Julia Sears, McElroy, Preska, and Stadium Heights). You will also have an opportunity to interact with many of the Hall Directors and Area Directors who will be making the the hiring decisions. Snacks and beverages will be served!
Candidates who meet eligibility criteria for the position could be invited to participate in two workshops. Workshops take place over a two-week period. Each workshop is a two hour commitment. Workshops are used to evaluate each candidate. Workshops are mandatory components of the CA selection process.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the position could be invited to interview for the position. Candidates will receive their interview date and time via email. We encourage candidates to dress professionally (Business casual attire is ideal.).
