Course Home

Desire2Learn, MNSU

The Course Home can be accessed by clicking on the course name in the My Minnesota State University, Mankato Courses list. The course home typically contains the News, Events, Updates and Calendar. The course home also includes the course navigation bar and the D2L site navigation bar. See Figure 1.

Usually the Course Home constitutes the following tools and components:

  • The course tools such as Content, Discussion, Dropbox, Grades, Quizzes, Chat ,Glossary.
  • The universal D2L personal tools such as Mavmail, Mavdisk,
  • News and Events
  • Updates

Entering Course Management Console

You may enter the course Management Console in two different ways:

  1. Click on the Edit icon Pencil icon beside the course name on the My Home screen. Or
  2. Click on the course name which takes you to the Course Home and then click the Edit Course link in the course navigation bar.
