Theatre & Dance Reunion Sept. 26-28
FRIENDS RETURN TO HONOR TED
About 200 family, friends, colleagues and former students returned to the Ted Paul Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 13, to pay respects to Theodore "Ted" Paul, Jr. What was scheduled to be an hour-long program turned into three hours (plus intermission), as the event became a bi-coastal tribute to the father of Minnesota State University, Mankato theatre.
Speakers (click on their name to hear what they said) included: Lou Bellamy, '67 alum and founder of the Penumbra Theatre; Tom Bliese, emeritus faculty; Fred Bock, emeritus faculty; Duke Durfee, '75 alum; Jane Earley, Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities; Patrick Ellis, '62 and '71 (MS) alum; Micah Kronlokken, '09 and current recipient of the Ted & Katy Paul Theatre Scholarship; Robin MacRostie for Jim MacRostie, '70 and '71 (MS) alum; Eric Paul, Ted's son; George Roesler, '73 and '90 (MFA) alum; Ken Rosen, '94 alum and two-time recipient of the Ted & Katy Paul Theatre Scholarship; Larry Schnoor, '60 and '64 (MS) alum and emeritus faculty; Bill Steil, '65 and '70 (MA) alum; Dennis Swanson, '70 and '76 (MA) alum; and Al Wortman, emeritus faculty. Surprise guest speakers were Faith Sullivan and Greg Rindfleisch. Also in attendance were former President Margaret R. Preska, Provost Scott Olson, Vice President for University Advancement Doug Mayo and alum Dudley Riggs.

Friends began to gather at 1 o'clock in advance of the 2 o'clock program.
