April 11: Scholars Serving Time Showcase

Mankato, Minn. – Recent students in Minnesota State University, Mankato’s prison education program will speak about their experiences along with reading from poetry and art from former and current students in a Scholars Serving Time Showcase event Tuesday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the University’s Centennial Student Union, Room 245.

The event, free and open to the public, is presented by the University’s Social Justice Lecture Series and is also available online (click here to join Zoom presentation).

Among the speakers at the event will be Vicki Hunter, founder and director of the Scholars Serving Time Program at Minnesota State Mankato.

The Minnesota State Mankato Scholars Serving Time Program provides associates of arts degrees to incarcerated people in Minnesota correctional facilities.
