MANKATO – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Performing Arts will present “Carmina Burana” Thursday-Saturday, April 25-27 in the Ted Paul Theatre in the Earley Center for Performing Arts.

“Carmina Burana” is at 7:30 p.m. on April 25 & 26 and at 2 p.m. on April 27.

Closing the season with a grand finale, this spectacular collaboration between the dance, theater and music programs will be an epic production of Carl Orff’s iconic choral masterpiece. Combining powerful music, captivating choreography and stunning visuals, more than 100 student performers will venture through 24 movements of medieval poetry adapted for modern audiences and highlight the work of the students and faculty in the newly established Department of Performing Arts.

This production also features four vocal soloists throughout the production: Landon Hudson, Billy Krager, Eric E. Parrish and Stephanie Thorpe.

Tickets are $10 regular price, $9 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more; and $5 for Minnesota State Mankato students.
