Mankato, Minn. –A tribute to Emmylou Harris featuring Minnesota State University, Mankato music department alumna Mary Jane Alm will make its way to Mankato on Saturday, April 1 at Hooligans, 1400 East Madison Avenue (Madison East Center). The show is set to start at 7 p.m.

The concert will feature Department of Music singer/songwriter Emma Josephine opening the evening, followed by The Fabulous Fatheads and closing with the Emmylou Harris Tribute show.

The concert is sponsored by the Minnesota State Mankato Performance Series.

Minnesota Music Hall of Fame recipient and award-winning singer/songwriter Mary Jane Alm is completely in her element singing the great songs of Emmylou Harris. Alm brings a heartfelt and passionate tribute to Harris to the stage. The night will be filled with songs and stories of Harris and her work. Harris is one of the most influential figures in country music history, with 14 Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. This evening of music will be sure to entertain fans of Harris and her songs. 

The tribute band consists of Alm (vocals), Boyd Lee (guitar, vocals), Richard Kriehn (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), Brian C. Peters (electric guitar, pedal steel), Dan Neale (electric guitar, vocals), Dik Shopteau (bass), and Ben Kaplan (drums).
