Minnesota State Mankato to Celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week Nov. 6-14 with Free Public Events

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week from Nov. 6-14 by holding more than a dozen events that are all free to the public as well as the University community.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week events are intended to provide opportunities for attendees to learn from and network with area business professionals, entrepreneurs and faculty and staff from Minnesota State Mankato.

The week includes a Big Ideas Challenge kickoff event for Minnesota State Mankato students on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. in the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, located in Morris Hall 262. According to its website, Global Entrepreneurship Week is “powered by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a diverse collection of national host organizations in (more than) 180 countries and 25,000 local partner organizations,” and is “a massive campaign to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world – especially those individuals who face structural barriers or may have never considered the idea of launching their own startup.”

Minnesota State Mankato’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is part of the University’s College of Business.

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 14,546 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 30 colleges and seven universities.
