Minnesota State Mankato to Provide Dental, Health Services to Active, Reserve, Retired Military on Veterans Day

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s College of Allied Health and Nursing is honoring active, reserve and retired military members by offering a variety of dental, hearing and health services available at no charge on Veterans Day (Thursday, Nov. 11).

During the “Health for Heroes” event, the public dental clinic is offering free dental cleanings, exams, x-rays and fluoride treatments. Cleanings will be at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. – appointments are required by calling 507-389-2147.

The Center for Communication Sciences and Disorders will be offering free hearing screenings from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 3-5 p.m. No appointments are necessary for hearing screenings.

In addition to the free services, a variety of programs ranging from dietetics to recreation will be offering health and wellness resources on a drop-in basis from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 3-5 p.m.

The event will be held in Minnesota State Mankato’s Clinical Sciences Building, located at 150 South Road in Mankato.
