March 26: Minnesota State Mankato's 2024 Schmitz Lecture to Feature CHS President and CEO Jay Debertin

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s College of Business will host a “fireside chat” with Jay Debertin, president and CEO of CHS, a global agriculture company owned by farmers and ranchers across the U.S., Tuesday, March 26 during a 3:30-5 p.m. event in Ostrander Auditorium, located in Centennial Student Union.

The annual event, part of the Richard Schmitz Food Entrepreneurship Series, is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Click here to register. Free parking will be available in University Lot 4 (pay lot; located outside Centennial Student Union).

According to a College of Business event preview, Debertin, an agriculture leader with 40 years of experience in the industry, “will share how ag offers a diverse set of career opportunities and relies on entrepreneurial and innovate thinking.”

The Richard R. and Mary L. Schmitz Endowment for Opportunities in Food Entrepreneurship, which was founded in 1999, creates scholarships and supports the annual Richard Schmitz Food Entrepreneurship Series. This includes executives within a broad range of food processing, retailing and wholesaling industries.

This lecture provides an opportunity for Minnesota State Mankato’s College of Business to engage the growing sector of agri-business with students, alumni and friends in a format that educates the community about growing needs in the agriculture world.
