Oct. 6: Homecoming Concert, Featuring Kid Ink

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Student Events Team announced that public tickets are still available for the Homecoming concert, featuring American rapper and singer Kid Ink, on Friday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. in Myers Field House. Doors for the concert open at 8:15 p.m.

Public general admission tickets are $20. Tickets for Minnesota State Mankato students are $5, and Minnesota State Mankato student guest tickets are $10.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.mnsuevents.com or at Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Activities front desk, located in the Centennial Student Union, Room 173. Tickets may be purchased in person from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with cash, card or checks made out to Minnesota State University, Mankato.

VIP tickets are available for purchase by the general public for $50 and includes early access, group picture with Kid Ink (no meet & greet), a free autographed poster and refreshments.

Free concert parking is available in gold lot 20, located adjacent to Myers Field House, beginning at 4 p.m.

No outside food and beverages are allowed. Close-toed shoes are required, and Minnesota State Mankato has a clear bag policy to enhance security, reduce staff touchpoints and to expedite entry times for guests.

Non-essential items should be left at home. Medical equipment and diaper bags, folding chairs, weather apparel and blankets are permitted and subject to search by security staff. Prohibited items may include backpacks, coolers, briefcases, drawstring/cinch bags, grocery bags and large purses.

Guests may carry the following style and size of bag into the event:

  • Clear tote (plastic, vinyl or PVC) that does not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” or a plastic storage bag (maximum one-gallon, resealable and clear).
  • Small bags, such as small clutch purse, that are approximately the size of a hand (with or without a handle will be allowed), but must not exceed 5” x 8”.
  • Guests with bags not meeting guidelines will be asked to return them to a vehicle or switch bag contents to a clear bag. Non-compliant bags may be subject to search.

Minnesota State Mankato bans weapons on campus and is an alcohol, drug, and tobacco free campus. Use of substances will result in removal from the concert.

According to information provided by Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Events Team, Kid Ink is a veteran rapper and singer who has been releasing music professionally since 2012. Since then, he has had multiple songs on the Billboard top 100 as well as songs released with Chris Brown, Usher, Fetty Wap and Tinashe. Kid Ink is still releasing music and released his last album, titled “ALIVE,” in 2022.
