MANKATO, Minn. – The Jazz Mavericks Big Band and Jazz Combo will perform on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.

The Jazz Mavericks is a large contemporary ensemble. Formed as a traditional jazz big band, this ensemble has expanded to include multiple instruments and vocalists performing a broad range of jazz related repertoire (jazz, rock, funk, Latin, hip-hop, etc.).

Douglas Snapp directs the Jazz Mavericks and coordinates the Jazz Combo. The program will include traditional big band arrangements and arrangements of current pop music.

Minnesota State Mankato students are admitted free with a valid MavCARD. General admission is $9 and $7 for students (K-12) and children. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to hss.mnsu.edu/music-events or call the Performance Series office, (507) 389-5549.
