Sept. 20-23: 'The Temperamentals' Opens 2023-24 Minnesota State Mankato Theatre Season

MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Theatre & Dance opens the 2023-2024 Theatre Season with “The Temperamentals” in the Andreas Theatre at the Early Center for the Performing Arts.

“The Temperamentals” tells the story of two men in Los Angeles in the 1950s who fall in love and establish the first gay rights organization in the U.S. Third year MFA candidate Eric E. Parrish is presenting this production as his thesis project and highlights the importance of the play’s message. The lead character’s “audacious spirit serves as powerful inspiration. It urges us to champion marginalized individuals and groups and strive for allyship,” says Parrish.

“The Temperamentals” runs Sept. 20-23, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts, Minnesota State University, Mankato. Tickets are $10 regular, $9 for seniors ages 65 and older and children under 16; and $5 for Minnesota State Mankato students.

The box office is open 4-6 p.m. weekdays in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available online at MSUTheatre.com or over the phone at 507-389-6661.

“Rent” is next up next, Sept. 28-Oct. 8 in the Ted Paul Theatre.
