Minnesota State Mankato's Department of Theatre and Dance Announces 2022-23 Season

MANKATO – The 2022-2023 Theatre and Dance season at Minnesota State University, Mankato kicks off next month and includes five Mainstage productions, two full-length dance concerts, and four Studio productions.

Highlights this season include Disney’s "High School Musical," opening in September; the Fall Dance Concert, dedicated to Minnesota State Mankato’s dance pioneer and activist Florence Cobb; and "Last Summer at Bluefish Cove" in the Studio, which tells the story of a group of queer women on their annual summer trip.

This year, the season subscription package includes the dance concerts, which allows patrons to enjoy seven productions for only $100. Included in the season subscription package is Disney’s "High School Musical," "Richard III," "A Christmas Story," The Fall Dance Concert, "Marisol," "Something Rotten" and The Spring Dance Concert. Season tickets are on sale now and individual tickets will be on sale Sept. 6.

"Something Rotten" will be directed by Paul J. Hustoles, the former faculty chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance, who retired in July 2020.
