Discover Portugal with Fellow Mavericks
The MSU Alumni Association, in partnership with Collette Travel, invites you to experience the history, culture and breathtaking scenery of Portugal on an unforgettable journey from the Douro Valley to Lisbon. Travel alongside fellow Mavericks as you explore charming towns, historic landmarks and some of the country's most celebrated regions.
Highlights include Porto, a scenic Douro River cruise, the canals of Aveiro, the vineyards and traditions of Alentejo, and the vibrant capital city of Lisbon. Along the way, you'll enjoy authentic local experiences, including a winery visit, an olive oil production experience, a home-hosted dinner and an evening of traditional fado music.
When you travel on a Maverick Alumni Tour, every detail is handled for you. A professional Collette Tour Manager accompanies the group throughout the journey, offering local expertise, managing logistics and ensuring a seamless travel experience so you can relax and enjoy the adventure.
Small Group Travel: Between 12 and 24 travelers - Activity Level 3 for on-the-go travelers.

This trip is open to Minnesota State University, Mankato alumni, friends and supporters. Single and double accommodations available (single supplement applies).

Travel Dates: September 26–October 6, 2027 (optional pre-and post-tour extensions available)
Registration Deadline: It's risk-free to book! Cancellations through February 27, 2027, will be refunded in full (including optional travel protection insurance). Space is limited. Early Registration is strongly encouraged, especially if traveling as a single.
