5:00PM – 11:30PM FREE Cosmic Bowling and Billiards

Maverick Bullpen, lower level of the Centennial Student Union

You can sign up for one hour blocks of game time starting 15 minutes before each hour. For example, at 4:45pm you can sign up to play from 5-6pm. To allow for everyone a chance to enjoy the games, you cannot sign up for consecutive game times.

The friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish begins a search for her long-lost parents, and everyone learns a few things about the real meaning of family along the way. Concessions are available for purchase at discounted rates. This is your MSU Movie theatre. Family Weekend Button Required for Free Admission.

Otto Recreation Center

Head for a great workout, play some basketball, or do many other activities in our campus recreation center. Just sign in at the desk and enjoy your time at the Rec Center! Free access for our Family Weekend Guests. Open Gym, Walking/Jogging Track, Weight Room, Cardio Area and Racquetball Courts. No minors in Weight Room or Cardio Area.

8:00PM Chicago Boyz AcrobaticTeam from America's Got Talent

Location TBD

As seen on America’s Got Talent, the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team is a professional gymnastics troupe consisting of talented young men from the Chicagoland area.  Performances include amazing acrobatic stunts and tricks inside twirling jump ropes, catapulting off mini trampolines and thundering tumbling routines with impaccable timing. You do not want to miss this show!

8:00PM – 10:00PM Star Gazing

Andreas Observatory

See the universe like you've never seen it before - and learn something new about the expanses of space! Park your vehicle on the south end of Lot 1 (behind the old Gage Towers). You can reach the observatory by a short walk south on the gravel road from lot 1.

9:45AM Family Weekend Stomper Sprint

Fitness Trail: near the MSU softball fields and Lot 1

Calling all kids! Join us for your own Fun Run around our outdoor track! Ages 1 – 4: 100 meter run; Ages 5 – 12: 400 meter run (1 lap). No need to preregister. Meet at the entrance to the track (right next to the start of the 5K) by 9:40. If we have enough kids, we’ll do separate heats for ages 5 – 12.

10:00AM Family Weekend 5k Fun Run/Walk

Fitness Trail: near the MSU softball fields and Lot 1

Join us for a FREE non-competitive 5k fun run/walk on our paved fitness trail by the softball fields and Parking Lot 1. T-shirts are given to the first 200 people to register. Registration is limited to Minnesota State Mankato students, faculty and staff, and their families. “Day Of” registrations are accepted starting at 9:30am. Waivers must be signed by all participants the morning of the event in order to participate. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.

Enjoy games, caricatures, photo booth, indoor rock wall climbing, inflatables and other great fun for the entire family, brought to you in part by the Residence Hall Association (RHA).

The Office of Alumni Relations presents this breakfast for students who have family members who are Alumni of Minnesota State University, Mankato. Invitations will be sent to Legacy Families. 2:00PM-6:00PM Outdoor Rock Climbing

Outdoor Rock Pinnacle-Behind Lot 1

Come and enjoy our Outdoor Rock Climing Wall!  The feel and texture of this climbing wall is amazingly realistic, allowing climbers to use natural features and attached handholds to climb unique routes up the wall. Take on the challenge of climbing this 35 foot pinnacle! Park in Lot 1 and take a short walk down the gravel road.  Family Weekend Button Required for Free Climbing.

Come play a round on MNSU's newest recreational option, the 9 hole Maverick Disc Golf course! Our very own par 3 disc golf course is open for you to play year-round, dawn till dusk. Meet the Campus Recreation staff at the northwest corner of lot 1 (right field fence of the Women's Softball diamond) to grab a scorecard, map and check out a disc to use. Feel free to bring your own disc golf discs too
