How would you describe yourself?

I love to learn and grow, and see how others grow too. My favorite way to spend time is to find a peaceful place and spend some time talking with people (or pets!) I care about.

Where is your hometown?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan

What's the craziest thing on your bucket list?

Recently I got this idea to learn at least 30 languages in 20 years. Imagine how crazy it would be to speak with almost everyone I know on their own language!

Are you a dog or a cat person?

Definitely a cat person but I love dogs too! I have a Cavalier Spaniel (doggo) and a Scottish Fold (catto)

What's your favorite part about being a student at Minnesota State University?

MNSU showed me that even the most challenging classes can be fun because professors here are ready to help you. Moreover, MNSU has a lot of resources for students to succeed in any way they want, whether it is in academics or in some extracurricular activities.

What's your favorite quote?

"Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!"
(c) Lewis Carroll from Alice in Wonderland

If you could give one piece of advice to incoming international students, what would it be?

Celebrate even small steps in your journey and be open to new connections with people around you. You made a lot of work to become an international student, which means you will go even further in your life! New friends will help and support you here if you would feel down.

What's a difference between Mankato and your home country that surprised you?

Something I cannot get used to is how life in Mankato is happening during the day, not at night. It is very different in my country. We sleep/work/study during the day and then we go out at night and everything in town is still open. In Mankato many places close at 6-7 p.m. Some of them get ready to close at 4 p.m.
