About Jodi

Born and raised on a farm in small town central Minnesota, I was a first-generation college student. After graduating with degrees in Psychology and Biology with aspirations of med/PT school, life happened and a marriage and two kids later I’ve had fulfilling careers in human services and non-profit administration. With nearly 20 years of scholarship administration and technology implementation under my belt, there was a calling to higher education which led me to Minnesota State University, Mankato. Every day I value my education and know that it is the path to success in our world today. I’m proud to say that my work makes a difference in the lives of students, co-workers and all of the donors and friends of Minnesota State Mankato that I get to assist.

If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d start an adventure travel company. And, you know, keep working here.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is you’re only on this earth once and you weren’t intended to be here in misery. No matter what your situation, change it for the better.

If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be off galivanting in some unknown place that I’ve never been to before.

My favorite word in the English language is ineffable. There is absolute beauty all around us, but I’ve seen some of world’s wonders, sailed in the Caribbean, been on top of a 14,000 foot mountain and jumped out of a plane amongst other things. Ineffable-there are no words.
