About Jodi

I was born in Mankato and lived here until I was in first grade. My family then moved to a small town in southwest Minnesota. I am the oldest of four and the first in my family to attend college. I knew right away I wanted to go to Minnesota State Mankato and loved my college experience. After college, I started my career life in the hospitality business. I held a variety of restaurant and hotel leadership positions and loved that fast-paced business. In 2001, I was blessed to have found my way into my current position with my alma mater. My husband and I have two beautiful children. We love family time and spending time with friends which usually involves sports.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given is treat others how you would want to be treated.

The most inspiring part of my job is hearing from the students we have impacted by doing our work. They are the reason we do what we do.

My favorite inspirational quote is, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." ~ Dr. Seuss

If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would start my own foundation and help others make their dreams come true.
