Jack Wheeler, Graduate Advisor, Student Events Team

Jack is a youthful leader from Saint Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from Highland Park Senior High school in 2019, where he initially found his passion for government and youth activism. Following his high school graduation, he chose Minnesota State University, Mankato, for its diversity and campus facilities. Quickly he became involved in various on-campus organizations, including Student Government, Pi Sigma Alpha, and the Sigma Chi Fraternity. During his time as a member of Sigma Chi, he held various positions, including recruitment chair, secretary, and public relations, and served as the 2021-22 president. Jack is passionate about government involvement. During his undergraduate years, he interned at Knutson + Casey Law Firm and participated on numerous committees within the Minnesota State higher education system. These activities have geared him towards a career in local government and community engagement. 

In spring 2022, Jack graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Business Law. He decided to continue his education at Minnesota State University, Mankato, to further prepare himself for a political career by pursuing a Master of Arts in Public Administration and Community Management. While researching graduate advisor positions, Jack accepted a position with the Student Events Team to further utilize his undergraduate skillset to benefit the team and campus community. He is looking forward to advising the team and welcoming new students to the campus in the fall!

When he is not studying or working, Jack enjoys spending time outside with his fraternity brothers, roommates, or family. His hobbies include playing fantasy football, watching maverick hockey, and going up to the cabin during the summer! Jack also appreciates learning about new cultures through food and has made it his goal to try every restaurant in Mankato before he graduates!
