Exploring systemic barriers to academic success, is the core and foundation of developing an inclusive pedagogy and recognizing the impact and power of diversity in the classroom. Inclusive pedagogy, refers to the manners in which courses, activities, curriculum and assessment, factor diversity, equity and inclusion with the ultimate goal of closing gaps and ensuring that all students are measured and engaged in a meaningful, relevant, and accessible way. Participants will be challenged to personally assess their competence and capacity to educate inclusively, explore strategies for adopting an inclusive pedagogy and takeaway tools to apply the Diversity Matrix to close the gap and align with system and university goals for Equity 2030.
