As a mentor, you will be working closely with incoming students to provide them with critical information on navigating college life and helping them overcome freshman challenges that, as a student, will still be fresh in your memory. Mentors have an opportunity to meet new students and faculty members, give back to the university in a positive manner, and leave a lasting impact on the student community during their time here. This experience will also look great on your resumé! Among other things, mentor responsibilities include:

 

• Meeting 1 on 1 with individual students
• Helping plan & coordinate workshops
• Attending staff meetings
• Serving set tutoring hours
•  Conducting yourself in a manner reflective of MSU Mankato values
