Dr. Todd Kanzenbach began his employment at Minnesota State University, Mankato Student Health Services, in June 1998.  He is originally from Faribault, MN.  He earned a BS from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, and an MD from the University of Minnesota.  He completed his residency at Sioux Falls Family Practice and a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center.  He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Kanzenbach serves as the Team Physician for the Minnesota State Mankato Athletic Department.  He is the Medical Director for the Athletic Training Education Program and Co-Medical Director for the Athletic Training Staff.  He is also an Associate Member of the Graduate Faculty at Minnesota State Mankato and a Clinical Faculty Member at the University of Minnesota Department of Family Practice & Community Health.


Why did you choose to go into college health?

I enjoy working with college student-aged patients.

What type of visits do you enjoy the best?

I enjoy a variety of visits, especially sports medicine, skin issues, and injuries.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Working with our varsity sports teams.

Access to board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists for efficient, comprehensive medical and psychiatric care and onsite pharmacy.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time outside on area lakes.
