What I Like about Being a Maverick
When I came to campus the members of the Maverick community were so inviting and positive. I love that everything done here is to help students have a great experience and to help them grow in multiple ways. It’s also a place where I feel supported and valued as a professional and a as a person.
Professional Development/Involvement/Interests
From early on in my education and professional career I have been focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. My academic program consisted of many Student Development Theory courses where it was explored how students navigate transitioning into and exploring college within certain identity groups. As someone who holds multiple identities, I want to continue to explore how students with intersecting identities navigate through the college experience.
Hobbies
In my free time I will go between exploring Mankato or I will be inside playing video games. I have a variety of interest including comics, anime, games, painting, and books. You will either see me walking around with headphones in listening to music or playing music in my office. On days of pure relaxation, I will be cuddling with my dog, Mr. Mario, watching Netflix.
