Join us on a Maverick Adventures outdoor program (Through the Office of Campus Recreation) for a Fall bike workshop and group ride!

We will be meeting at 2PM, at the entrance to Otto Recreation Center, where we will be going over basic bike maintenance and some essential info for getting around the Mankato area by bike. From there, we will be biking to the Le Sueur River via road and bike trail, and returning the same day to campus.  The Red Jacket Trail crosses the Le Sueur River on a high trestle that once carried the Minnesota and Central Railroads through the Mankato area.  We will enjoy beautiful Fall foliage and scenic views of the river valley along the way. The trip is 12 miles round-trip, with some hills, however we plan a leisurely pace.  The program will last around 3 hours in total from start to finish. Our office has 15 bikes which are available to students who do not have their own bikes.  Later in the registration you will be able to request a bike (first come, first serve basis).

This program is only open to current Minnesota State Mankato Students, as we work to expand our programming options into the Outdoor Recreation realm, we are doing outdoor programming with only Minnesota State Mankato Students, however we hope to have similar offerings in the future for students as well as community members.
