Research procedures involved in locating music literature and materials for use in performance, teaching and/or advanced graduated studies.

Independent work by graduate students comes under this course number. The student must first secure permission from the instructor desired for the individual study.

- Programs:
The Chamber String Ensemble provides chamber music and ensemble opportunities for string players. The ensemble is open to all students following an audition. Regular performances are offered each semester. The ensemble programs musical works from all periods.

Master class where students perform for each other, and are critiqued by other students and faculty. Presentations may also be made on performance issues. Required each semester that a student is taking lessons.
