Your Step-by-Step Transfer Guide

  2. Know the Requirements

    To apply as a transfer student, you’ll need:

    • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
    • 24 or more transferable college-level credits earned post-high school
      • If you have less than 24 credits, you’ll be reviewed for admission based on a combination of your high school and collegiate records

    We recommend applying at the start of your final semester at your current school. This will give you plenty of time to speak with advisors, explore financial aid opportunities and solidify your housing .

    Ready to apply? Here’s what you’ll need:

    • Your completed online application
    • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities you’ve attended (and in some cases, high school transcripts)
    • A $20 application fee (waivers available)

    Once your application is submitted, we’ll keep you updated as it moves through the review process.

    Submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), explore transfer scholarships and speak with an advisor if you have any questions. Some scholarships are automatic, but others you need to apply for.
