Welcome… I am your LCC, Erik Keohane!

I am so excited to meet you this fall.  I will be a resource for you as you navigate through your first year of college here at Minnesota State University, Mankato!  Being involved with the Alpha Engineering Learning Community will help you academically as well as socially, so utilize me and your peers as much as you can!

Major: Electrical Engineering and Mathematics

How/what made you decide this major? I loved math in high school, and I was interested in engineering because I wanted to design things. I picked electrical engineering because It sounded the most “mathy”.

Year in School: Senior

Hometown: Rapid City, SD

Advice for LC Students: Don’t buy the textbook unless you know you’ll need it!

Smartest thing you ever did/best decision you ever made: The decision to pick engineering to challenge myself.

Favorite thing about MSU: All the support for all types of students.

Campus/LC Involvement: I am the president of the Men’s Club Soccer team. I was the president for our Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) student branch. I am a basketball and soccer intramural champion (I’m kind of a big deal).

Favorite thing to do in Mankato: Having bonfires with friends.

Anything else we should know about you? I love Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I can’t stand the taste of olives.
