As the scientific study of the effects of individual, social, physiological, developmental and environmental factors on thoughts, feelings, and behavior, the Psychology program prepares students for a professional career in which the understanding of human behavior is important.

A minor is required, so be prepared to begin taking courses toward a minor your first semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Depending on your transfer courses, you may need to complete a course in either the Developmental or Social/ Cultural core areas for Psychology.
