  1. Reset your password from a safe device using the Minnesota State StarID page.
  2. Update and run antivirus and anti-malware software.
  3. Reset your password, keep it secure and complex. Never use the same password.

My computer is infected. What do I do?

  1. Update and run antivirus and anti-malware software to remove malware.
  2. Reset passwords for commonly accessed services from a safe device.
  3. Visit the IT Solutions Center if issues continue to occur with your device.

I think I might have clicked on a phishing link. What do I do?

  1. Reset your password to the account you viewed the link from.
  2. Update and run antivirus and anti-malware software.

How do I report spam?

  1. Send all spam and phishing messages as an attachment to spam@mnsu.edu.

How do I reset my StarID password?

You can reset your StarID password using the self service portal at starid.minnstate.edu.
