Grind-Fu Cinema

Grind-Fu Cinema began as a Twelve Hour Film Festival put together for KMSU listeners in the Fall of 2007. This inspired Shuffle Function hosts Shyboy Tim and Shelley to create a monthly double feature film series the following year that would run from April through October. Initially the programs consisted of public domain features, but Grind-Fu began receiving Minnesota State Arts & Cultural Heritage funding in 2010, which made it possible to get higher profile films from major motion picture studios.

Grind-Fu Cinema film nights are always presented free of charge, and the seasons traditionally end with a Halloween party featuring horror movies, costumes, and a specially designed cake by artist Amber Rahe.
