New Faculty and Staff at Edina Information
Hours of Operation at MSU Mankato at Edina
Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM evening hours vary.
Saturday: Closed, open when class in session
Sunday: Closed
Faculty and staff can access the suite 24/7, with an activated mavcard.
MavCard
Stop at the front desk to fill out the paperwork for a new MavCard and have your picture taken.
*Please be sure to have your Tech ID and a photo ID with you.
The picture will be emailed to the MavCARD office in Mankato where they will print the ID and route it back to Edina.
The MavCard should arrive in about a week. Stop at the front desk to check on its arrival.
If you already have a MavCard, please see the staff at the front desk to get access to the building. If not, please get a new MavCard.
Parking
Parking is FREE at Edina. Please park either in the large west parking lot, behind 7700 France Avenue off of Minnesota Street, or by the North side of the building.
The east parking lot in front of the building is for visitors only and parking is limited. It is not a lot for student parking.
Building Access

- Access between Mon-Fri 6:00AM – 5:30PM and Sat, 8-2PM is unrestricted.
- After getting a MavCard and having your badge number given to MaiChong, you will be able to enter the building through any door using your ID card after 5:30PM.
- Please note, when the building is locked, the building Security Guards will NOT let you in to the building. Please make sure you have your mavcard with you when coming to the 7700 France building.
- Entry during off times is permitted by the use of a MavCard* at the West Entrance or by using either the button or phone to reach Security and get buzzed in.

Wireless Access at Edina
Eduroam our preferred fast and secure Wi-Fi network across campus. If you've never connected to eduroam before, you must first download the eduroam certificate on your device. This process only takes a moment and you'll only have to do it once!

If you are anywhere else in the 7700 France building, you can a guest pass of 7700FranceGuest.
Printing
See MaiChong to enable printing from your laptop/computer to the printers at Edina.
Scheduling Rooms
Academic classes are scheduled through department online class request to Extended Learning.

- Mailroom
Mail that comes for faculty and staff with an office at Edina is sorted by department. The mailroom is located across from the storage room or to the left of the main suite doors.
- Intercampus Mail to Mankato
Mail can be routed via intercampus envelope from Edina to the Mankato campus. “Land to Air” drops off and picks up on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Envelopes and the mail bin are located in the mailroom.
- USPS
There is a blue post office box outside the building by the large west parking lot. Please use stamps.
Services Provided by MNSU at Edina:
- Loaner laptops
Faculty and staff can borrow a laptop to use while in class or working at Edina. Equipment must be returned before leaving the site.
You can request the same laptop be available every time you have class.
See MaiChong or the front desk for your equipment needs.
Laptops are not loaned out to students or non-MNSU faculty and staff
*Portable projectors are also available
- Mac Adapters: A limited number of Mac adapters are available for faculty and staff use.
Site and Building Amenities
- Cafeteria
There is a cafeteria and restaurant on the 1st floor of the building. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Fitness Center at Edina
All staff and faculty at Edina have FREE access to the 7700 France building Fitness Center, but must sign a waiver before gaining access. Please see the Edina front desk staff for a copy of the wavier. The Fitness Center is located on the 1st floor behind the north elevators.
East Courtyard
All staff and faculty at Edina have FREE access to the 7700 France Court Yard.
Bocce ball, bags, and golf can be checked out at the main 7700 Security desk.

- Glass bottles are not allowed
- Smoking is not permitted on the patio
- Please clean up and dispose of all trash
- No other grills are allowed onsite
- All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- Please put umbrella’s down after use

Students who don’t have a MavCard can get one at Edina or submit it online at the following link below.
- MavPrint
As part of their student fees, all students have $20.00 of printing in their account at the start of each semester to use for MavPrint.
MavPrint Stations are located by the front desk.
