Notes: This Sociology AA Pathway guarantees that nine Community College (CC) sociology credits will count towards the MSU Sociology major. CC Introduction to Sociology fulfills MSU Soc 101; CC Sociology Elective A counts as the any-level sociology elective. CC Sociology Elective B counts as one 300-level Sociology elective. Additionally, three credits of CC Statistics may fulfill MSU Soc 202 Social Statistics. The MSU Sociology major requires 27 of the 39 sociology credits be taken at MSU. **MSU requires two “Diverse Cultures” courses for all Bachelor’s Degrees. The required Soc 463 Social Stratification fulfills one. Many elective sociology courses as well as general elective and courses in the minor may fulfill the second. See course catalog.
