Things to Bring

Communicate with your roommate prior to moving in. This will help you avoid duplication of items.

Hanging Items in your Room

Rooms with Drywall (Semi-Suites and Apartments)

Finishing Nails for Move-In.jpg

  • We recommend using finishing nails (see left) for hanging, as they cause the least amount of damage. Wall damage that requires repair will be billed to the responsible student.
  • Command strips are allowed, but students need to be careful when removing. If removed incorrectly, it will rip the drywall and the student will be responsible for repair costs.

Rooms with Block Wall (Basic and Renovated Rooms)

  • We recommend using command strips. Nails and screws are not recommended, as they damage the walls (and the student will be responsible for repair costs).
