Being Assigned a Roommate

Some students will be assigned roommates.

Students who Reserve Housing by February 16

If you reserve housing by February 16 and don't select a roommate, the other space in the room that you select (during Room Selection) will be available for any other student to select.

If the space is not selected through Room Selection, we will assign a student based on age, gender, and smoking preference. Roommate assignments will show up in the housing portal immediately after they have been assigned. We assign roommates May-August.

Students who Reserve Housing after February 16

We assign students to rooms May-August. Room assignments are made in the order in which reservations were received (I.e. a student who reserved housing on February 17 would be assigned to a room before a student who reserved housing June 5).
