  1. Look at your Degree Audit in E-services. Find instructions for this a few questions above.

  2. Identify what goals area(s) you have left.

  3. Now review the catalog – start to pull together classes you believe you should take for your major.

  4. Write down any questions you have about your Degree Audit, your major, etc.

    • Some majors do group advising. Come to group advising equipped with the information you’ve reviewed in your Degree Audit and your catalog.

    • Other majors do not specify how you are advised. In those cases, schedule an individual appointment with your advisor, and bring the information from your Degree Audit and catalog to the appointment – this will show your advisor that you’re doing your best to prepare!

Pros and Cons to Failing vs. Withdrawing

  • Failing can hurt GPA and completion rate.
  • Withdrawal can hurt completion rate, but not GPA.
  • However, Financial Aid implications are different. It is best to schedule a meeting with an advisor before deciding to withdraw from a course to ensure you are making the most informed decision!
  • If you plan to withdraw, you can do so by accessing the Campus Hub webpage.
