Students in the IEP receive conditional admission as a pathway to regular admission with
the opportunity to develop their English, academic, social, and intercultural communication skills in a variety of courses from beginning to advanced levels.
For institutional partners who wish to send their students for a 4-6 week short-term English language and cultural immersion experience in a safe and welcoming community.

Intensive English Program Introduction Video
The Center for English Language Programs (CELP) is a unit of Global Education which offers undergraduate and graduate students English language training in order to prepare them for academic studies.
All IEP classes are taught online via Zoom this Spring 2021 semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Both degree-seeking and exchange students are welcome to join our online program.
Students in the Intensive English Program receive conditional admission to the university, and work on developing their English language skills prior to starting courses in their majors.
Short-term customized programs and a cultural immersion experience are offered to students from partner institutions.
Our welcoming campus offers a variety of resources, facilities, and social events.
The Language Partners Program pairs international students from the Intensive English Program with domestic students enrolled at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
