Sanction Education

Students who violate the Minnesota State Mankato Alcohol and Other Drugs Policy may be assigned sanction education as a condition of continuing enrollment at the University.  Health Education offers the following sanction education opportunities:

Under the Influence

Designed to reduce negative consequences and presented in a motivational interviewing style,  Under the Influence includes the eCHECKUP TO GO brief intervention for alcohol.

Marijuana 101

Designed to reduce negative consequences and presented in a motivational interviewing style, Marijauana 101 includes the eCHECKUP TO GO brief intervention for marijuana. 

Choices

This two-part alcohol and drug education course features a two-hour Small Group Workshop and a 30-minute Individual follow-up meeting with Sanction Education staff.

Choices II

CHOICES II includes an individual 2-hour meeting, along with a 30 minute follow-up visit with Alcohol and Drug Education staff.

D2L Alcohol and Drug Education Program

This online tool is used to assist students to identify strategies how to plan ahead and stay in control in situations where alcohol and/or marijuana are present.

Chemical Use Interview

Goals of a Chemical Use Interview include bringing harm reduction into student lives and providing services and help to assist students to successfully manage life.
