Step 1: Submit an on-campus Housing Application and $250 prepayment to the Department of Residential Life.

Step 2: Ask your health care provider to complete the Health Care Form for Students Requesting Housing Accommodations.

  • The completed form should be signed and stamped by the provider and returned via fax 507-389-1199 or mail to Accessibility Resources, 132 Memorial Library, Mankato, MN 56001.

For priority consideration, requests for accommodations based on medical/disability need must be received by:

  • March 1st for housing beginning Fall Semester
  • November 1st for housing beginning Spring Semester
  • March 1st for Summer Session housing

Being approved for housing accommodation does not guarantee that you will be placed in your first-choice residential hall.  When you apply for housing and make this request factor into your room assignment.

Accessibility Resources makes determinations regarding functional accommodations in housing and is not involved in the process of assigning a student's specific room or specific roommates/suitemates. This process is managed by Residential Life and students will be notified of their specific room assignment separately.
