It's Time for You to Select Your Housing!

Current students living in Residential Life Housing may sign up to live on campus next year through E-services as early as October 30, 2017. As a returning student, you can hand-pick your room for next year during our Room Selection process. Pay attention to the dates below to figure out when you can pick your room!

2018-2019 Room Renewal Schedule
  • Monday, October 30 thru Sunday, November 5 - Same Room Sign-Up

During this time period, you may sign up to live in the same room you are currently residing in for the 17-18 academic year.

  • Monday, November 6 thru Saturday, March 31 - Any Room Sign-Up

During this time, all students currently living in on-campus housing may reserve a room in any location on campus (Crawford, McElroy, Julia Sears, Preska, and Stadium Heights).

Choose Your Room Online

It's easy to make your housing reservation for next year! Simply go to E-services on the date that applies to you (see the schedule above) and select the Housing and Dining tab in the left menu bar, then choose Housing & Dining for Spring 2018 or any term after that and you'll be on your way to picking your own room for next year. Please understand that when you reserve your housing, you will be asked to make a $250 prepayment which will be applied to your Fall 2018 housing charges.

Carefully read the 2018-2019 Housing Contract before you agree to the terms. You are entering into a legal agreement in effect for the entire academic year. Once Residential Life has accepted your Housing Contract, the terms within both the Housing Contract and Residential Life Student Guide apply.

Live With Your Friends

When you reserve your housing online, you may hold a space in your room for another student who also has a completed Housing Application. Students must be a part of the same Roommate Group.

If you do not request a specific roommate, the other space in the room you have chosen will be available to other students signing up. A requested roommate space can be held through May 20 and will be honored if the requested roommate submits all of their housing materials by this deadline (which includes their housing reservation application, a signed Housing Contract, AND a $250 prepayment). Failure to have all these materials in by May 20 will result in the roommate request being released and another student will be assigned to the room.

If you are interested in signing up for a semi-suite or apartment with two or more other students, each student will need a completed Housing Application and will need to be a part of the same Roommate Group. Only the Group Leader can assign other students to a space. Other Group Members may select their own space if they choose, but may not select spaces for other students.

Changing Rooms

If you want to change your room after your initial sign-up, stop by the Residential Life Office at 111 Carkoski Commons. Room changes must be completed in the Residential Life Office in person. Do NOT cancel your room and attempt to sign up again.

Resident Meal Plan Options

All students living on campus must choose a meal plan. You will have the opportunity to choose a meal plan beginning in February.

Living Off Campus: Is it More Expensive to Live On or Off Campus?

Like so many things, it depends on what your preferences are. There is a range of prices in on-campus housing just like there is in off-campus housing.

The University provides information to assist students in their housing transition, including information on apartment listings, renter rights and responsibilities, campus shuttle services, and city bus services at Off-Campus Housing.
